Minor body and paint damage
Small dents, bumper scuffs, scratches and localized paint damage may not require major panel replacement. We inspect the bumper skin, brackets, parking sensors, lamps and the panel behind the visible mark. A repair can be more economical when the component remains correctly shaped and securely mounted. Replacement becomes the safer choice when plastic is torn, mounting points are broken or previous filler has failed.
Paint work is planned around the affected panel, color condition and the need for blending. Metallic and pearl colors may require an adjacent blend to avoid a visible shade change. The written estimate separates panel repair, preparation, materials, paint, fitting and any sensor work. This makes it easier to compare a focused cosmetic repair with a complete replacement.
Structural and mechanical damage
A harder impact can affect more than the body panel. Wheel alignment, suspension arms, steering parts, cooling components, mounts and the vehicle structure may also need inspection. A car that looks drivable can still have a rubbing tire, leaking radiator, shifted reinforcement or damaged sensor bracket. We do not confirm road safety from photographs alone.
Measurements and dismantling may reveal damage hidden behind the bumper, trim or wheel liner. If that happens, you receive the additional finding and revised price before the scope changes. Parts are selected for fit, safety and compatibility. Genuine, OEM, aftermarket, reconditioned or used options are discussed only when suitable for the specific component and repair.
Airbags, lights and driver-assistance systems
Deployed airbags, damaged seat-belt pretensioners and restraint warnings require proper diagnosis. Replacing visible airbags alone may not clear the complete fault. Sensors, wiring, control modules, seat components and impact data can affect the repair. We inspect the system and state which parts and programming steps are included.
Modern Volkswagen models may also have parking sensors, cameras, radar units or adaptive lighting near the damaged area. A bumper repair or Volkswagen windscreen replacement can disturb their mounting or aim. The quote identifies any required scan, calibration or specialist check instead of assuming that a warning light will clear after bodywork.
What happens after you approve the estimate
The repair begins only after the agreed work is clear. Damaged parts are removed, reusable components are protected and replacement panels are checked before paint. Panel alignment, gaps and mounting points are corrected before final finishing. Mechanical or cooling repairs are tested separately from cosmetic work.
After reassembly, we check lights, locks, windows, sensors and visible warning messages related to the repaired area. Wheel alignment or a controlled road check is completed when relevant and safe. The handover explains the completed work, fitted parts and any lower-priority item that was not included.
When the car should be collected
Do not drive if a wheel rubs, steering has changed, coolant leaks, airbags have deployed, a door cannot close securely, lighting is badly damaged or sharp bodywork is exposed. Free pickup and delivery are available. Tell us whether the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes so the correct collection method can be arranged.
