Vibration inspection · Al Quoz 4, Dubai

Car Vibration Repair in Dubai

A shake at idle, at one speed, under acceleration or braking can come from different systems. We check when it happens before quoting the repair. The initial workshop inspection is free; a targeted wheel and tyre runout check is estimated at AED 145 to 335 before 5% VAT.

Car vibration inspection costs

The first workshop inspection is free. These are estimates for separate checks that may follow, not a package charged together. Each listed AED range excludes 5% VAT for the named work. Repairs, replacement parts and any additional testing are quoted before approval.

Relevant checkEstimate before 5% VATWhat it covers
Wheel and tyre runout checkAED 145 to 335Targeted measurement if a speed-related shake remains after basic tyre and wheel checks. Straightening or tyre replacement is separate.
Wheel balancingAED 57 to 115 per wheelBalance measurement, correction weights and recheck on a serviceable assembly. It will not repair a bent rim or damaged tyre.
Computer scanAED 145 to 285Supported-system fault and status review when rough running or a warning light makes scanning relevant. A scan alone does not locate every vibration.
Intermittent fault testingAED 475 to 1,145Agreed extended testing if the symptom appears only under load, at a certain temperature or on a repeat road test.

Once the cause is confirmed

Possible vibration repair costs

These are separate planning ranges before 5% VAT for faults that can cause vibration. The right repair depends on inspection; a wheel, brake or suspension price is never added automatically to a diagnostic check.

Confirmed repairEstimate before 5% VATIncluded and separate work
Suitable bent rim straighteningAED 285 to 620 per wheelRunout check, permitted correction and recheck. A damaged tyre, sensor or balancing after repair is separate unless quoted.
Front pads and discsAED 855 to 3,335 per axleTwo compatible front discs, matched pads and routine fitting when measured brake wear or variation warrants replacement. Caliper, hub or performance-system work is separate.
Control arms or bushingsAED 620 to 3,335 per axleConfirmed affected parts and routine fitting. The number of arms and pressed bushings changes the total; alignment is separate unless quoted.

Engine or transmission mounts, CV joints, shafts and model-specific tyres are quoted after we identify the fault and compatible parts. The written quote confirms the fitted total and whether any earlier diagnostic fee is credited.

What the driver notices

When does the car shake?

The same word can describe a rough engine, a wheel-speed vibration or a brake shudder. Tell us if the steering wheel, seat, floor or pedal moves, and whether the problem began after a pothole, tyre change or repair. That history guides the check; it does not prove the earlier work caused it.

A safe road test may help reproduce the condition. If the car is difficult to control, we inspect it without asking you to drive it again.

At idle
Compare engine running, accessory load, mounts and anything touching the body.
At a road speed
Look at tyre condition, balance, wheel runout, hub seating and bearing or joint play.
Under acceleration
Check load-sensitive mounts, CV joints, shafts and engine performance.
While braking
Inspect brake discs, hubs, calipers and related steering or suspension play.
After an impact
Check the tyre, rim, suspension and geometry before choosing an adjustment.

A frequent first decision

Balance, align or inspect the tyre?

Balancing corrects weight variation in a sound wheel and tyre assembly. Alignment measures wheel angles and may help after an impact or with uneven tyre wear. Neither fixes an out-of-round tyre, bent wheel, loose joint or faulty bearing. A highway-speed shake can call for a runout measurement even when the wheel has already been balanced.

If a wheel or tyre issue is confirmed, our wheel balancing and alignment service explains the measured work and its prices. We do not sell alignment as a universal vibration cure.

Balancing is appropriate only after the wheel and tyre are checked for damage and fit.

From symptom to repair

How we diagnose vibration

We start with the condition you can describe and choose checks that can confirm or rule out a cause. A code stored in a module or a vibration felt in one part of the cabin is a clue, not proof that a particular part must be replaced.

  1. 01

    Record the condition

Note the speed, RPM, braking or load, temperature, road surface, location of the shake and any recent impact or work.

  2. 02

    Check the likely system

Inspect tyre pressure and damage, wheels, brakes, steering and mounts as indicated. A controlled road test is used only when safe.

  3. 03

    Measure where needed

Use balance or runout measurements, brake and hub checks, engine data or drivetrain inspection to distinguish similar symptoms. We quote paid testing first.

  4. 04

    Repair and verify

Approve the identified work and part choice. We repeat the relevant check or operating condition where practical before handover.

The result depends on the cause

What repair might be needed?

One vibration can have more than one contributing fault. The estimate separates a confirmed cause from secondary wear, so you can choose the work needed now and understand what is still uncertain.

Tyre or wheel correction

Balancing, correct fitment or a serviceable wheel repair may solve a measured fault. A tyre with internal damage or a wheel that cannot be safely restored needs replacement, not extra balancing weights.

Brake or chassis work

Brake judder can call for disc and hub measurement, caliper checks or repair of a loose suspension part. A damaged bearing, joint or bush is addressed before final alignment where needed.

Engine or drivetrain work

Rough running may require ignition, air or fuel diagnosis; a load-sensitive shake can involve a mount, CV joint or shaft. For several symptoms or warning lights, a broader vehicle diagnostic inspection may be appropriate.

When the symptom changes suddenly

When should you stop driving?

Stop in a safe place if the shaking becomes severe, steering or braking changes sharply, a tyre looks damaged, a wheel seems loose or the car is difficult to control. Call for advice about recovery instead of driving it to the workshop. Free pickup and delivery for a planned workshop visit does not mean emergency towing is included.

Before you approve work

Timing and the written quote

A clear speed-related symptom can sometimes be measured in one workshop visit. A shake that appears only when cold, hot or under road load can require staged testing. We explain the next check, expected time and price before a paid diagnostic step.

After the repair, we check the relevant operating condition where safe and explain any remaining observation. Parts availability or extra faults found after access can change timing, so the written quote identifies inclusions and any work needing separate approval.

Questions before booking

Car vibration repair questions

How much does car vibration diagnosis and repair cost?

The initial workshop inspection is free. Balancing is AED 57 to 115 per wheel; extended intermittent testing is AED 475 to 1,145. If a fault is confirmed, suitable rim straightening is AED 285 to 620 per wheel, front pads and discs AED 855 to 3,335 per axle, and control arms or bushings AED 620 to 3,335 per axle. These planning ranges exclude 5% VAT for the named work; your written quote confirms the final total.

Why does my steering wheel vibrate at highway speed?

An out-of-balance assembly, damaged tyre, bent rim, poor hub fit or steering and suspension wear are possibilities. We check the tyre and wheel first, then measure the relevant components instead of assuming balancing will cure it.

Will wheel alignment stop the shaking?

Only if measured geometry is contributing to the problem. Alignment will not correct a damaged tyre, bent wheel, out-of-balance assembly or worn joint. The inspection determines which service is useful.

Why does my car shake when braking?

Brake disc or hub variation, pad or caliper problems and loose steering or suspension parts can cause judder. A brake and wheel check is needed before choosing a repair, especially if stopping performance has changed.

What causes vibration at idle or under acceleration?

At idle, uneven engine running, accessory load, mounts or contact between parts may be involved. Under acceleration, a CV joint, shaft, mount or engine fault becomes more relevant. The operating condition and measurements decide the next test.

Is it safe to drive a vibrating car?

A mild, stable vibration still needs inspection. Stop in a safe place and arrange advice or recovery if the shake is severe, steering or braking changes, a tyre or wheel appears damaged, or control feels uncertain.

How long will the inspection take?

A repeatable wheel-speed issue may be checked in one workshop visit. Intermittent symptoms can take longer to reproduce and test. We confirm the next step, price and expected timing after the free initial inspection.
