What a good dent repair should restore
A finished repair should be reviewed in useful lighting and from more than one angle. The panel should follow the intended body shape without an obvious low area, raised crown, sanding edge, heavy filler contour, or distorted reflection. Refinished areas should have a suitable color, gloss, texture, and transition to nearby panels.
Doors, hoods, trunk lids, and tailgates should open, close, latch, and seal normally. Bumpers, moldings, handles, lamps, liners, and other removed parts should be secure. Where an impact or dismantling affected sensors, cameras, wiring, or powered equipment, the applicable function checks should be included in the repair record.
Keep the written estimate and invoice. They should identify the panel, approved method, parts condition, paint area, outside services, and any job-specific warranty terms that were actually provided. Report a related concern promptly with the invoice reference and clear photos.
