Choose the right service

Inspection, drain and refill, or complete exchange

Coolant service should be selected from the fluid condition, maintenance history, vehicle design and symptoms. A routine maintenance visit is different from an overheating complaint. We do not use a flush to hide a leak, failed thermostat, weak water pump, blocked radiator, combustion-gas fault, or cooling-fan problem.

Cooling-system inspection

Choose this when the coolant level drops, the temperature rises, the heater changes temperature, warning messages appear, or the reservoir contains oil, rust, sludge, or an unknown mixture. We inspect accessible hoses, reservoir, cap, radiator area, water-pump area, fan operation, and visible leakage. Pressure testing and deeper diagnosis are quoted when needed.

Drain and refill

Suitable for routine maintenance when the system is clean, the correct coolant is already present, and the manufacturer procedure does not require a machine exchange. The accessible fluid is drained, the correct product and water ratio are added, the system is bled, and the final level is checked after circulation.

Controlled coolant exchange

Used when more old fluid must be removed, the service history is uncertain, or approved flushing is appropriate. Flow direction, heater circuits, bleed points, valves, and electric pumps differ by vehicle. We use the method suitable for the system rather than forcing a universal chemical flush through every car.

Overheating needs diagnosis

Do not flush an overheating car blindly

Old coolant can lose corrosion protection and carry deposits, but replacing fluid cannot repair a mechanical or electrical fault. If the gauge rises, steam appears, coolant repeatedly disappears, the fan does not run, or the cabin heater turns cold while the engine is hot, stop safely and request advice. Continuing to drive can turn a smaller cooling-system fault into cylinder-head, gasket, turbocharger, or engine damage.

A pressure test may reveal an external leak only when the system is cold or pressurized. Scan data can show sensor readings and fan commands. A combustion-gas test may be appropriate when coolant is pushed out, hoses become unusually hard, or unexplained overheating continues. We explain the test and price before moving beyond the free initial inspection. For a warning light or intermittent cooling fault, our computer diagnostics and inspection service explains the difference between a scan and further testing.

What the symptom may mean

What your coolant symptoms mean

Routine service due

The level is stable, temperature is normal, fluid has no obvious contamination, and the interval is due. A specification check followed by a drain and refill or controlled exchange may be appropriate. We use the vehicle identification and maintenance information to choose the coolant and procedure.

Low level or visible leak

Colored residue, drops under the vehicle, a sweet smell, wet hoses, a stained reservoir, or frequent top-ups require leak inspection. Adding coolant without finding the cause can leave the engine unprotected. The leak should be confirmed and the repair choice approved before routine flushing. If a component has failed, see our mechanical repair service for the repair path.

Rust, oil, or mixed fluid

Brown deposits, oily film, gel, particles, or an unknown mixture may require testing and a planned cleanup. Severe contamination can remain in the radiator, heater core, hoses, oil cooler, or engine passages. The source must be addressed so new coolant is not contaminated again.

Workshop procedure

How a coolant service is completed

1. Confirm the vehicle and concern

Tell us the model and whether the visit is routine or the car is overheating. We check the fitted system and any coolant recently added before choosing the fluid or recommending fault testing.

2. Inspect before draining

The existing level, color, contamination, accessible hoses, connections, reservoir, cap, and leak traces are checked before evidence is removed. If the condition changes the plan, we contact you before proceeding.

3. Drain, exchange, and refill

Old fluid is removed using the approved access points or controlled equipment. The correct coolant concentration and quantity are added. We avoid mixing products simply because their colors look similar.

4. Bleed and verify

Air is removed through the vehicle-specific sequence. Heater output, circulation, temperature behavior, fan operation where relevant, accessible leaks, and the final cold level are checked. Advisory findings are recorded.

Specification matters

Coolant color does not identify compatibility

Green, red, blue, pink, orange, and yellow coolants can use different inhibitor technologies even when the shade looks alike. Mixing incompatible products can reduce protection or create deposits. We identify the required specification from reliable vehicle information, then check the product approval, concentration, and service method.

Dubai heat does not make antifreeze protection unnecessary. The correct mixture raises the boiling margin, controls corrosion, lubricates seals and water-pump components, and protects aluminum, iron, plastic, and mixed-metal circuits. Too much concentrate can transfer heat poorly, while too much water reduces boiling and corrosion protection. Tap water can introduce minerals, so demineralized or specified water is used when the product is not premixed.

Some vehicles use electric coolant pumps, multiple reservoirs, battery or charge-air cooling loops, heater valves, and software-controlled bleeding. Hybrid and electric vehicles require the correct circuit identification and safe working method. We confirm capability before accepting specialized high-voltage cooling work.

Vehicle differences

Why coolant service is not one universal procedure

European and performance cars

Turbochargers, charge coolers, auxiliary pumps, heater valves, multiple radiators, plastic fittings, and mapped thermostats can change the service. For example, a BMW with an electric pump and a Porsche with extra cooling circuits can require different filling and bleeding steps. We check the fitted system and approved fluid.

Japanese, Korean, and American cars

A Toyota SUV and a compact Ford may have different coolant capacities, service intervals and drain points. We follow the specification for the engine actually fitted instead of choosing fluid from the badge alone.

SUVs, hybrids, and electric vehicles

Large SUVs often hold more fluid and may take longer to bleed. Hybrids can have separate engine and inverter circuits. Electric vehicles can use dedicated battery and power-electronics cooling loops. Service is accepted only when the correct procedure, fluid, and safety capability are available.

A normal coolant service often takes about one to three hours after inspection. Complex bleeding, repeated cleaning, a hot vehicle that must cool safely, or diagnosis can extend the visit. We give a realistic time after the vehicle and condition are confirmed.

Safe decisions

When to stop driving and arrange recovery

Stop safely if the temperature warning turns red, the gauge enters the hot zone, steam appears, coolant pours out, the engine loses power, severe knocking begins, or the vehicle requests an immediate shutdown. Do not open a hot reservoir or radiator cap. Pressurized coolant can cause serious burns. Let the system cool and ask for advice.

Plan a workshop visit

A maintenance reminder, stable level, normal temperature, and no unusual smell or residue generally allow a planned appointment. Continue monitoring until the visit and do not add an unknown coolant solely to change the color.

Request advice before driving

Repeated top-ups, an intermittent warning, weak cabin heat, visible residue, or a fan that runs unusually long should be discussed first. We can help decide whether pickup, recovery, or a short controlled trip is appropriate.

Use pickup and delivery

Free pickup and delivery can be arranged across Dubai. Recovery for a car that cannot be driven safely is a separate arrangement; ask before moving the vehicle. An on-site assessment may be available by appointment, but specialist testing, mobile labor, recovery, or roadside work can carry separate fees.

Questions before booking

Coolant flush questions

How often should coolant be changed?

The correct interval comes from the vehicle manufacturer, coolant type, operating conditions, and service history. Some long-life products have extended intervals, while unknown, mixed, contaminated, or repaired systems need earlier attention. We check the vehicle rather than applying one mileage rule to every car.

Will a coolant flush fix overheating?

Not necessarily. Overheating can result from leakage, trapped air, a thermostat, water pump, fan, radiator, sensor, wiring, pressure-cap, head-gasket, or circulation fault. The cause should be tested first. A flush is used only when fluid replacement or approved cleaning is part of the correct repair.

Can different coolant colors be mixed?

Color alone does not show chemistry or approval. Two products can look alike and be incompatible, while differently colored products may meet the same specification. Use the exact approved product. If the installed fluid is unknown, inspection and a planned exchange are safer than casual mixing.

How much does a coolant flush cost in Dubai?

Our estimated totals before VAT are AED 240–525 for a drain and refill, AED 430–810 for a standard exchange, and AED 620–1,145 for a larger or more complex system. Diagnosis or contamination cleanup is separately priced. The final written quote depends on the coolant specification, system capacity and what inspection finds.

How long does a coolant flush take?

A straightforward service often needs one to three hours after the vehicle is cool enough to work on safely. Complex bleeding, multiple circuits, diagnosis, repeated contamination cleanup, seized fittings, or discovered repairs can take longer. Timing is confirmed after inspection.

Why does the coolant level fall after service?

A small adjustment can occur as remaining air moves through the system, but repeated loss is not normal. The system may have trapped air, an external leak, a cap problem, or an internal fault. Contact us instead of continuing to top up without identifying the cause.

Do you flush hybrid and electric-vehicle cooling systems?

Capability depends on the vehicle and circuit. Hybrids and EVs can use separate high-voltage battery, inverter, motor, cabin, and engine circuits with dedicated fluids and safety procedures. We confirm the exact work and workshop capability before accepting the booking.

What should I send for an accurate quote?

The model and whether the visit is routine or relates to a leak or temperature warning are enough to begin. Photos, service history and details of recent top-ups are optional. We confirm the final VAT-inclusive quote after inspection if the condition cannot be assessed remotely.
