Clean photographs are most useful when taken in daylight without filters. Include a wider image showing the wheel position on the car and a close image showing the deepest damage. A cosmetic job should not be described as structural repair. Keep a face image, inner-edge image and the final wheel condition. Photographs help distinguish a returning concern from a later kerb strike or pothole impact. They also record the finish that was approved.
Check the tyre cold and use a consistent gauge. Note the date, pressure and outside condition if air loss was part of the original complaint. A stable first day does not justify ignoring a later repeated drop.
If vibration was the complaint, repeat the same safe speed range and road type. Report whether the change is felt through the steering, seat or braking. This is more useful than saying the car still feels wrong.
Retain balance, tyre, alignment and suspension findings with the wheel invoice. If only part of the impact damage was repaired, the record should show the remaining observation and the next check required.
Wheel cosmetics and wheel safety should remain separate on the invoice. A refinish can improve appearance without changing an unrelated tyre or chassis symptom. Likewise, a structurally satisfactory wheel may still need a tyre, valve, balance or hub correction.
