Protect new performance tyres
Balancing, alignment and wheel checks
Balancing corrects weight differences in the wheel and tyre assembly. It is normally part of a careful fitting job and can reduce speed-related vibration. It cannot correct a bent wheel, deformed tyre, hub issue or worn suspension component, so the source of vibration is checked rather than guessed.
Alignment should be measured when wear is concentrated on one shoulder, the steering is off center, the car pulls on a level road or a significant impact occurred. Adjustment is only useful when wheels, tyres, steering and suspension parts are serviceable.
Low-profile tyres give rims less protection. We inspect visible bends, cracks, bead-seat condition and signs of runout. Wheel repair, replacement and alignment are priced separately unless specifically included in the written tyre quote.
