Slow crank, no start or repeat discharge
Record storage time, driver handovers, jump-start history and added equipment. Test battery condition, cable voltage drop, grounds, starter demand, charging output and quiescent draw. A replacement battery will not correct a poor connection or an accessory that remains awake.
Reduced power or engine warning
State load, gradient, fuel level, engine temperature and whether the event followed prolonged idling or highway operation. Air, fuel, turbocharger control, cooling, exhaust aftertreatment, wiring and mechanical evidence are compared before parts are proposed.
Overheating or coolant loss
Stop repeated topping-up long enough to preserve leakage evidence. Note fan operation, AC load, traffic, road speed and cargo weight. Pressure, flow, temperature distribution, coolant condition and heat-exchanger obstruction matter before a radiator, pump or thermostat is selected.
Harsh shift, delay or driveline vibration
Identify the exact transmission and describe gear, throttle, road speed, temperature and load. Check supply voltage, fluid evidence, mounts, shafts, joints, tyres and control inputs. An empty workshop drive may need a safe, authorized load simulation to reproduce the complaint.
Brake pull, noise or short pad life
Measure friction condition and wear pattern, inspect hydraulics, caliper movement, tyres, wheel condition and suspension play, then relate the result to operating mass and route. Replacing pads alone may leave a seized guide or overload pattern unchanged.
Air conditioning loses performance
Record front and rear vent behavior, idle versus road-speed performance, passenger load and ambient conditions. Refrigerant evidence, temperatures, pressures, fan operation, blend control and converted-body airflow help separate a leak from a control or heat-load issue.
