Record the order of events
Write down what happens first. Does the engine hesitate before the warning appears, or does a battery message appear before several systems switch off? Does the AC weaken only when the cooling fan changes, or is airflow low at every speed? Sequence helps choose the first circuit or mechanical check.
Save dashboard photos and a short video. Note fuel level, outside conditions, cold or warm start, selected gear, road speed and whether restarting changes the behavior. If the issue followed a service, battery, tyre, windscreen, collision or accessory installation, include that date and invoice.
The aim is to reproduce the concern safely. When it cannot be reproduced immediately, the record helps us plan the next check. If a red oil-pressure, overheating, brake or steering warning stays on, or the vehicle feels unsafe to control, stop safely and ask about pickup or recovery rather than driving it in.
