Start with the operating change
Choose the first SEAT check
You do not need to diagnose the car before booking. Describe what changed and the conditions that make it appear.
Include the exact dashboard message and whether the concern is cold, hot, at idle, under load, during a gear change, while braking or only with the AC running.
- Warning light or reduced power
- Scan the relevant systems, preserve useful fault and freeze-frame information, check battery supply and compare live data with the physical symptom. A stored code identifies where to investigate; it does not automatically identify the part to replace.
- Rough running or hesitation
- Record engine temperature, load, fuel level, recent work and whether the fault is intermittent. Intake leaks, ignition, fuel delivery, sensors, deposits and mechanical condition can produce overlapping behaviour.
- DSG hesitation or shudder
- Identify the exact gearbox and describe engagement, shift quality, noise, warning messages, leakage and temperature dependence. Control, clutch, fluid, mounting and internal causes need to be separated.
- Overheating or coolant loss
- Stop safely for a serious temperature warning, steam or rapid fluid loss. Cooling fans, leaks, pump operation, thermostat behaviour, circulation and prior repairs may all be relevant.
- Brake, steering or suspension change
- Report pulling, vibration, clunks, grinding, pedal change, instability and tyre wear. Inspect mechanical condition and tyres before using alignment as the answer.
- Weak AC cooling
- Note airflow, vent temperature, noise, odour and whether cooling improves while moving. Refrigerant loss, fans, filters, sensors, controls and the compressor are different possibilities.
