Repair, recolor, or retrim
Cleaning and conditioning can improve a dry or contaminated surface, but they do not replace missing color, close a structural split, or rebuild failed foam. Surface restoration can suit scuffs, light cracking, dye transfer, and localized color loss when the base material remains strong.
A panel repair addresses one defined area such as an outer bolster, center insert, armrest, or door section. It can control cost and preserve surrounding original trim. Color and grain matching matter because older leather may have changed through sunlight, use, and previous cleaning.
Retrimming is appropriate when material is torn, stretched, heavily cracked, incorrectly repaired, or unable to support a durable restoration. A complete retrim is reserved for wider deterioration or a planned cabin transformation. We explain the visual difference, material choice, included panels, and estimated total.
