Restore the systems that look through the glassCamera calibration and final function checks
A forward camera can support lane information, collision warnings, automatic braking, sign recognition, or other driver-assistance functions depending on the Lincoln model and equipment. Moving the camera from one windscreen to another can change its position by a small amount, and that change may require calibration.
The required procedure can be static, dynamic, or a combination. Static calibration uses specified targets and vehicle positioning. Dynamic calibration uses a controlled drive under required road, speed, marking, and weather conditions. Tire pressure, ride height, alignment, battery voltage, camera faults, and an obstructed view can affect completion.
Calibration is not treated as a substitute for diagnosis. If a warning remains because of a damaged camera, bracket, wiring circuit, control unit, or another system, we explain that separately. The handover check reviews applicable warnings, camera mounting, sensor operation, mirror covers, wipers, washers, trim fit, glass clarity, and visible bond edges.
