Maintenance planning
Service the exact Borgward, not a generic SUV
Maintenance should follow the schedule that applies to the vehicle, together with mileage, elapsed time, Dubai heat, driving pattern and the records available. The VIN and component identification should guide oil, filter, fluid and belt specifications.
A routine visit may include specified engine oil and filter, air and cabin filters, tyre and brake condition, visible leaks, coolant condition, battery testing, lights, belts, hoses and a safe road test. Any warning, overheating, shift fault or active leak is a separate diagnostic concern and should not be hidden inside a service package.
When the history is incomplete, request a baseline report. It should distinguish verified due work from condition-based advice. This avoids both neglect and unnecessary replacement. Keep the resulting invoice with the vehicle because it becomes part of future part matching and fault history.
