Repair decision
A useful estimate separates the item that caused the symptom from related work that is required for safe installation or final geometry. A worn joint may need replacement before alignment. A leak may require identifying whether the source is a hose, seal, pump or rack area before a complete assembly is priced. An electric-assistance warning may require power-supply and sensor checks before a steering unit is condemned.
After kerb, pothole or collision contact, visual alignment alone is not enough.
